Welcome to the blog tour and giveaway for Enchanting Nicholette , hosted by JustRead Publicity Tours! While this is officially part of a tour (with a giveaway!) I also wanted to say that I did purchase this novella originally as part of a box set, Timeless Love. Carrie, at Reading Is My Super Power has been trying to get me on the Everstone bandwagon for YEARS. Being part of a box set, I finally read one, and hopped right up on that wagon. Dawn’s stories are not to be missed. So now I have TWO copies. The second has an Epilogue, I am happy to say! I wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye the first time.
Welcome to another installment of First Line Fridays, hosted by Hoarding Books. Today’s first line is from:
Enchanting Nicholette by Dawn Crandall
“‘It was in looking up at him her aspect had caught its lustre – the light repeated in her eyes beamed first out of his.'”
Ok, that’s technically the first line, but it’s a quote from Villette. The first line of Dawn’s writing begins with:
“I suppose you have a new wardrobe ordered from Paris, oui?“
So, grab the book nearest you and comment what your first line is (with title and author, of course!) and then head over to Hoarding Books to see all of the other
books/blogs featured today.

This book is so. . . enchanting! 😀 I loved it. Dawn is such a great writer.
Hardy, har, har.
Can’t wait for the opportunity to read “Enchanting Nicholette” by Dawn Crandall.
“Where are the lamb?” Ernestine asked when she and I caught up to the rest of the group at the pasture fence.

The first line grabs you with the fun of couture gowns from Paris, and a life of luxury, but our heroine will want more than the fripperies of this world!
Thanks for sharing! What is the author and title?
this cover is lovely. I would love to read how she finds her true love and he is the right man
“She never should have had her back to the door.”
Love Held Captive
by Shelley Shepard Gray
This book was simply delightful. So glad to have you the on The Everstone Chronicles bandwagon. 😀
I’m sharing about “A Lady of a Thousand Treasures” by Sandra Byrd over at my blog, but I’m almost finished reading, “The Bullying Breakthrough” by Jonathan McKee. So my first line will come from there.
It’s 6:37 a.m., and I haven’t slept for hours.
This has been an emotional project for me, probably the toughest I’ve ever tackled. Not because the research has been any more burdensome or the topic more daunting, but because never have I heard so much anguish and hurt.
Happy Friday! Hope you have a wonderful reading filled with lots of good books to enjoy. 😀
Thanks for sharing.

My first lines come from a book I’m very excited to be reading soon, Resistance Women by Jennifer Chiaverni……..
The heavy iron doors open and for a moment Mildred stands motionless and blinking in the sunlight, breathless from the sudden rush of cool, fresh air caressing her face and lifting her hair. The guard propels her forward into the prison yard, his grip painful and unyielding around her upper arm.
Have a great weekend and happy reading!💕📚📖🍁
Hmmm. Now I wonder why she’s in prison!
A good read.
Happy Friday! This week on my blog I’m featuring Everything She Didn’t Say by Jane Kirkpatrick but it’s also the book I’m currently reading so I’ll share the first line from my current chapter (13) here: “Doing what I haven’t ever done before has become a kind of purpose for me.” Hope you have a great weekend with plenty of quality reading time!
My first line is from Anna’s Tower by Pegg Thomas. It is from the Barbour Collection, Great Lakes Lighthouse Brides.
Thunder Bay Island, Lake Huron
October 4, 1883
The wail of a ship’s whistle jerked Anna Wilson from sleep despite the cotton wadding she’d shoved in her ears before bed.
Thanks for sharing.
Happy Friday! My first line is from “Oceans Apart” by Clare Revell, included in the set “Somewhere Beyond the Blue”:
“Oliver Voight checked his passport for the third time.”
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for getting the limited edition Timeless Love novella collection and for also joining the blog tour! So glad you loved Enchanting Nicholette so much and have joined The Everstone Chronicles bandwagon! ❤️
Today on my blog I’m sharing the first line from An Hour Unspent by Roseanna White. Currently, I’m reading The Cumberland Bride by Shannon McNear. This book is SO good, I’m absolutely loving it. I’m on chapter 28, so I’ll share a line from there:
“The women came for her very shortly after, and while leading her off, they shooed Crying Bird away.”
Hope you have an amazing weekend filled with great reading time! 😀🧡📚
Thanks for sharing.
Happy Friday! I’m sharing from my current read, Temptation Rag by Elizabeth Hutchison Bernard. Here is a line from the top of page 9:
“She thought she would never tire of watching him at the piano, his fingers caressing the keys, a look of such tenderness on his face as if he would gladly die for each and every note.”
An epilogue? I read the Timeless Love version. I’ll have to check out the full version to see what I’ve missed! Glad to hear you’ve jumped on the Everstone train. Dawn Crandall writers wonderful characters.
I’m featuring Pathway to Peace by Elizabeth Maddrey on my blog, and I’ve just picked up That’s When I Knew by Laurie Tomlinson. Here’s the first line:
“Bless her heart. Chelsea Scott’s sales director had no idea what she was getting them into.”
I’m guessing this is that Southern meaning of “bless her heart” which means anything but!
Yes! Check it out. I always like a taste of what happens after the story. I’m a big Elizabeth Maddrey fan, but haven’t read that one yet.
Such a fun giveaway! I loved the book and the series.
Glad you enjoyed it.
EPIC giveaway! I enjoyed this series!
