I also wanted to say that I did purchase this novella originally as part of a box set, Timeless Love. Carrie, at Reading Is My Super Power has been trying to get me on the Everstone bandwagon for YEARS. Being part of a box set, I finally read one, and hopped right up on that wagon. Dawn’s stories are not to be missed. So now I have TWO copies. The second has an Epilogue, I am happy to say! I wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye the first time.

I’m sharing about “A Lady of a Thousand Treasures” by Sandra Byrd over at my blog, but I’m almost finished reading, “The Bullying Breakthrough” by Jonathan McKee. So my first line will come from there.
It’s 6:37 a.m., and I haven’t slept for hours.
This has been an emotional project for me, probably the toughest I’ve ever tackled. Not because the research has been any more burdensome or the topic more daunting, but because never have I heard so much anguish and hurt.

My first lines come from a book I’m very excited to be reading soon, Resistance Women by Jennifer Chiaverni……..
The heavy iron doors open and for a moment Mildred stands motionless and blinking in the sunlight, breathless from the sudden rush of cool, fresh air caressing her face and lifting her hair. The guard propels her forward into the prison yard, his grip painful and unyielding around her upper arm.

Happy Friday! I’m sharing from my current read, Temptation Rag by Elizabeth Hutchison Bernard. Here is a line from the top of page 9:

I’m featuring Pathway to Peace by Elizabeth Maddrey on my blog, and I’ve just picked up That’s When I Knew by Laurie Tomlinson. Here’s the first line:
“Bless her heart. Chelsea Scott’s sales director had no idea what she was getting them into.”
I’m guessing this is that Southern meaning of “bless her heart” which means anything but!
